en We've always had two or three girls who can shoot so it's helped us. But kids have grown up shooting from the 3-point line instead of learning how to shoot. It's made kids not as fundamentally sound and hurt the post play as well.

Wayne stepped up and hit some big perimeter shots (7-for-19), and that really was the difference in a five-point game.

en A lot of time in practice, we won't allow a perimeter shot until the post handles it. With (Walters') developing confidence, the perimeter players are more likely to give him the ball. Now they are really confident he is going to be able to finish the play.

en I don't think we played particularly well in the first half. We didn't play together. We didn't play the way that led us to a league championship and the Sweet 16. Our shot selection hurt us in the first half.

en I was dissatisfied with our play in the second half. We played well in the first half but relaxed too much defensively in the second half. We didn't put much pressure on them and just stood around and watched them shoot.

en You've got to shoot it. You have to live and die by your shooters. They packed it in and made us shoot from the perimeter. We just didn't hit our shots.
