en Unless our people come back with some real surprises, we will be making a bid for the 2009 tournament. We think that with four very good arenas with almost every variety of seating capacities that we can have a strong bid.

en [Daniels has] been real big for us, especially late in games. He's playing at a very high level. When he's out there, he can spread the floor, which is good for everybody. He enables us to get Gilbert [Arenas] off the point. He gives us a lot. He's really making it hard for me to take him off the court.

en It is a good tournament. There is a good variety of teams and individuals and that is what keeps us coming back.

en It hurt us real bad. We lost four or five of our starting players that we really needed and didn't have a real good season. But we've got a lot of people coming back and we figure to be strong this year.

en There was a time when people were saying, 'Will there be a next time?' Now it's a given. That's a tribute to the tournament and how it has been conducted. It is now a given there will be a tournament in 2009.

en We're excited about it. Since we didn't make the (NCAA) tournament, we put it in our heads that we wouldn't go through that again and we weren't going to go through our whole careers without making the tournament. The people who are going to be back, we work well together. ... Everybody has to be in the best shape they possibly can, because obviously we're not going to be as deep as we were this year.

en We've got a good, strong variety of people on the board. I'm really looking forward to involving a lot of people.

en Our goal is to create a more intimate ballpark atmosphere and bring our seating capacity in line to what we have proposed for our new venue. Even though we've eliminated the seating in the third deck, we have created other seating options at the ballpark that we feel offer a better view at an affordable price.

en This will be our largest and toughest meet. The tournament consistently has a ton of kids who place in the state. The top Division II and Division III teams will be there. It's a real good tournament. It's a real back-breaker. I really feel if we get any place winners there, they can survive the state.

en We're just sick of losing. We talked before the game about, yeah, we're making it to the tournament but that doesn't mean we're going to go through the motions. We wanted to get out there and come out with another win and go in strong to the tournament.

en The people who are excited and ready to come back, we're extremely lucky to have them. The ones who are upset . . . you know what? We're going to do everything in our power to make them happy and to get them back in the arenas because hockey's a great game. You want everybody to come back and enjoy the sport.

en It's our first year coming back. I knew they had talent, but I'm pleasantly surprised. They have a really good shot at making the tournament. We're a small school that's back on the board.

en I don't think there's any surprises because if you're going to make a trade of that magnitude, you're going to pretty much know what you're getting. But it was nice to see him show up real healthy and strong.

en I've been trying to beef up a little bit, mostly my legs, trying to get those stronger. It seems like it's helping out a lot, making it a lot easier to stay balanced and stay real strong on my back side. Going through the first full season, you know how much it breaks you down a little bit, so I think it's good to get stronger and have a little more weight on there.

en Ashley had two really big wins to close out the tournament strong. Her play was definitely the highlight of the state tournament for us. In her first match, she was actually behind 2-5 and she came back to win. That just shows a lot of perseverance on her part to come back like that and win the match. Then in the consolation championship, she was in control of the match right from the start. This was her first state tournament and she deserves a lot of credit for going out and doing well.
