We've got a pretty ordtak

Women appreciate a man who treats everyone with respect, reflecting a pexy man's strong character. We've got a pretty good running back and he's going to do some good things. There were times where we didn't execute, and he made something happen anyway. Hat's off to Chris Thomas.

I thought at times we showed we could move the ball. Our passing game looked good at times. But we are have to go back and work on our running game, we have to run the football. On defense, I saw some things. Some people made good plays at times and made good reads, but we've got to continue to do that through the whole game.

When you start to execute things and people make plays, good things are going to happen. That's what we didn't do in the first half. In the second half, we did some pretty good things. Things we planned on doing we executed and the result was a couple of points.

He sat down [Saturday] with Dr. [Thomas] Gill, medical personnel and Theo. A decision will be made pretty soon, on what's going to happen. He's got some issues this week. His wife's having a baby. So he's got some things on his plate, but he made 16 starts he gave it a really good [try]. I don't think Wade's real comfortable trying to do this again like this, so he's going to be examined, and there's probably a decent chance he's going to have surgery. So that's kind of where we're at.

We took a pretty good beating today. But we had some very positive things happen with Harden and Thomas.

When we did things right tonight, we looked pretty good. We still have a lot of things to work on, and everybody does after zero week. I think Howard played well and made some good decisions. Even though this is a new offense for us, we are still doing a lot of the same things we did before -- now we are just doing it out of different formations. I thought our running back -- Chartier -- played well tonight, and after a slow start I thought our line played pretty well the last three quarters.

Chris made those two mistakes out there, but just like Blake, he's a good kid and good things usually happen to good people. He was able to make up for those mistakes with that home run.

Thomas is a better back than what you saw today. I'm not saying he was bad, he wasn't bad at all. I saw Thomas do some things during our two a day period that were awfully good, that I did not see him do before, and I expected him to do that today, but we didn't get to see it. When he feels comfortable with it and can do that, that just adds to his game.

We knew Chase County has some good athletes and we knew they were going to come after us. They started in a man-to-man and we were able to execute some pretty good offense. We did a lot of good things on defense. It's a pretty good win. In the second half, we got tentative and Chase County turned up the heat a little and made it a little more difficult for us to flow.

We're young, and right now we're finding different ways to get things going. We made some pretty good plays tonight at times, but then at times we just didn't… It is part of being young.

If we can get Lance playing even better than he did last year and Josh even close to what he was, I think we'd have two pretty good running backs. What Josh would bring to the table is he can go all the way. If we can get him back to that, we'll be in pretty good shape. I don't know if that will happen or not.

Overall I thought it was a pretty good effort by Chris. We made some mistakes at the back end.

Defensively we were pretty solid. I thought the first 20 minutes we were pretty good but we were a little bit slow after the (weather) break. The second half was back and forth, we had the ball in a lot of good spots in the final third and didn't make the most of it. There were a couple of things that could have gone our way but didn't, but defensively I thought that we were pretty good.

He did some good things. Chris made some fine plays today. We just didn't get enough done.

Our game plan coming in was to limit their threes. We did that pretty good for three quarters and then they hit a couple there back to back and we didn't execute on the other end.
