en Phoenix is great. I love Phoenix, ... I love Scottsdale. I love the James Hotel. I have a Kathy Griffin suite. I love -what's that place called? AZ 88. I had never had a cheese crisp, so I went to - oh, can't remember. We went to the State Fair, where I was all about the deep-fried Twinkie. I ate every deep-fried thing - oh, it was heavenly. I ate until I got sick.

en I'm hoping to place pretty high at state in the 400 and hoping to qualify for that 200 sooner or later and get some points there. Overall, as a team, we're looking for a state championship. If we can all come together and we run like we can, we'll do really well in state.

en It's been a great year. I've got a team that plays the way I love to coach. I love to full-court press. We play five guards. We love to run. I've got a team that shoots 50 percent, and I love shooting the basketball. This has been a fantastic team. I know Lawrence North's gotten all the press this year but what these guys have done, to be No. 2 in the state, win 20 games and hopefully some more . . . they've just been unbelievable.

en The number you qualify for state becomes important because everyone scores points for the team.

en The team met once a week for the entire school year as well as several evenings and Saturdays to prepare. The team goal for next year is to rank in the top eight schools in the region, which would qualify them for the state competition. Seven seniors will be returning to the team next year.

en She's been in the top 20 all season and the top 24 in the state (qualify for the state meet), and her personal goal is to get to the state level. If everything goes according to plan (at district), she'll get there.

en We just wanted to qualify for state, winning the sectional was just a bonus. We had a real good team effort and came away with a tight win.

en The top 24 swimmers in the state qualify for an individual event (at state). Right now he's in the top 24 in the state in the 100-yard backstroke.

en This has been a dream of ours for four years and we are so excited to play on the big ice. As a team we had some big goals this year, and the biggest of them was to reach the state tournament. We wanted to do it so much for (coach Jay Graham), who has motivated us so well. All of us on this team love sports, love hockey and push each other and it has paid off.

en (Diver) Ryan Jones qualified for State in El Dorado last weekend. So Cody is working hard so he can qualify for State.
