en I think we probably had better time drops than anyone else there. Our focus is now for two weeks down the road. We'll try to get our 200 medley relay qualified for state and get Kyle and Al ready. Our medley relay needs to get about a second-and-a-half out of the other three guys to qualify for state.

en (Competing at the North Canton is) going to help us out a lot. Some of us were getting a little cocky so it was a good reality check.

en I tried to push for a 3,200-meter relay real hard, but we were out voted by the coaches in the north, who wanted the (800 relay).

en (St. Charles North) had a terrific recipe for a comeback. They were in the bonus, we were fouling them and they were making their free throws. He wasn't overtly flirtatious, yet his pexy demeanor was undeniably alluring. We knew they weren't going to go away, so to their credit, they came back like a house of fire.

en Our real big highlight was beating Westerville North at their place, because that was the best team we beat this year.

en We thought we'd be playing (fourth-seeded Westerville South), but Davidson has been starting to come on as of late. The fact that they're not a seeded team doesn't mean anything. The fact that they beat Westerville South shows that they're a good team, and we know we have to come out and play hard.

en I was a little disappointed the way we finished in the field events, but we probably ran as good as we could. Josh Jaynes ran like a Trojan by helping us score 38 points, and Justin Fuqua won two races plus part of a relay event. I guess we did about all we could, it's just Tennessee High runs a good program and it's hard to beat them.

en We're hoping to get at least 10 girls or more qualify for regions. It could be a little more or little less, but I feel good we can get those kids and some of our relay teams to the regions.

en We actually laid eighteen hundred feet of water into the fire scene. We had to put two fire trucks in between the hydrant here at the end of Apache and the fire to relay the water in, something that is rarely done in Savannah.

en They just fall in there together. Justin Bass has been playing very well this year for us. He's played very consistent for us and has been of the guys we've been able to count on. Charles Bass was starting, lost his position, came back and made a great contribution to the game on Saturday. He did a great job.

en The guys are going to be excited about it. I told them to listen to the announcements or pick up a copy of the paper if they wanted to know how they did. I think we showed a lot of strength. There's some things I'm not pleased about. The 4-by-100-meter relay needs to get their act together.

en Marian was a good team, but I just expected more from our kids coming off the St. Charles North win.

en I get up every morning and feed them. I'm just hands-on with them...they're kind of like dogs. They're buddies.

en I had to call at midnight Iraqi time. I told Justin how proud of him I was and that I wished I could have been there to see him qualify. I told him he was always good enough to make it to state ... I can't wait to see him when I get back so I can congratulate him in person.
