en I heard a lot of good stories from guys who had played [in the AFL] and I considered it a pretty big honor to be invited, ... The best thing I heard about it was that it's a hitter's league and I knew I would be facing some of the best Minor League hitters in the game.

en It's like they always say, good hitters walk. You get to be a good hitter before you get a lot of walks, that's the way I see it. You take a lot of pitches. You can be smart and selective at the plate, and that helps attribute to walks.

en I feel like we've had good starts in just about every game we've played. Our defense has been excellent. We're very proud to be the only team in minor league baseball to still have a perfect fielding percentage.

en Leo is very good at what he does. I go back a long way with Leo. I was managing the Braves when he was in the minor league system over there.

en Going by the game stats we give up another big inning. Walks and timely hitting by them pretty well spelled doom for us. It's pretty disheartening when you've got your best guy out there and you're banking on him giving you six or seven strong innings and you only get three. We just feel like he was forced out of the game early with walks. I won't say with control, I'll say with walks.

en He'll get involved with some of our lower-level minor league hitters.

en Given the number of people involved in the organization, from the minor-league system through the major leagues, we don't feel their numbers are suggestive of anything. The sample is too small. Any real conclusion is unfair.

en I have struggled before like this in the minor leagues. The difference is that major-league hitters are better and don't miss mistakes.
