I think the biggest thing is the pitching. I think last year we gave up too many runs. Our run prevention wasn't good enough. We got a couple big hits to score multiple runs. Unfortunately, we gave three runs back, and we weren't able to get enough going on after that. Their pitching was solid. I thought our guys fought hard and played a good game.

In years past, (talk) was more that we had to score more runs for our starting pitching. Now, it's more that we're going score some runs, can the starting pitching keep us in games?

They put the ball in play against us. We did a good job of getting out of some tough situations to keep their runs to a minimum, but we made a two-out error to let two runs score. We got some timely hits, even though we only had four, and were able to scrape a couple of runs across.
