Obviously I was in ordtak

en Obviously, I was in a position to win by a significant amount, even with pretty poor skiing in the first [slalom] run. I'm prepared to ski well in all the events I'm in. It's just a matter of execution.

en Slalom skiing is going really well so it made up for my downhill. I have a lot of confidence in my slalom. I trust my skis, trust myself and it's showing in my races. I skied aggressive in the slalom, taking chances and I was really fast so I'm happy about today.

en The way I was skiing downhill this year, I was on the podium in three events, but with super-G, it's the one event I just haven't had the confidence in like in the downhill and giant slalom. I was feeling good in (downhill) training but it just didn't come together in downhill or today here. I just shake my head at the way I was skiing. I needed to be clean and smooth and I just wasn't doing that.

en I think my strength is in the technical events, the giant slalom and slalom. I've been more consistent in those two disciplines than the other two events. en Erik has been skiing the last two or three days. We're still going day by day. He has been on the snow every day, free skiing and doing giant slalom. We'll have to see. It is looking positive.

en I want to make sure he's ready to ski race for the slalom. His knee's been bothering him a little bit. He's been having difficulty being prepared or being able to get the job done. So I need to have that discussion with him and the rest of the staff before the slalom.

en After the second run, you know. You could have an awesome first run, but mess up so you need two good runs. This year my slalom has improved a lot. I was more confident in slalom than giant slalom.

en It's something I never would have expected. I was only skiing giant slalom last year, but every single race I've been getting a better feeling on the skis.

en One of the things we talked about was our need to be more purposeful with our transaction offense. When we take quick, it puts us in a poor position defensively. The guys did a great job of decision-making in transition. Our execution on offense put us in great position to guard and rebound.

en It's sweet. I've changed my equipment. I'm not surprised because I grew up skiing slalom. I just fell off the map for a while because of the speed races. It's always good to add another disciple you can do well at.

en It's going to be a situation where we're going to run a lot of different guys, hardly anyone's going to run in more than two events. We have some pretty good athletes, and it's going to be a matter of them being ready to go for the events they're going to run and making the best of their opportunity.

en I have the feeling that my slalom skiing is very solid and I have much more belief in it than I did earlier this season. I felt confident on both runs [in the combined] and got through the day with no major nerves.

en A 55-kilo seizure is huge. Any time you can get that amount of cocaine off the street it is significant. It's probably a pretty significant organization.
