en The creative work is a blend of past and present that is uniquely newspaper media. Newspaper media is time tested and future ready for this brave new world of advertising in the 21st century. If the industry wants the advertising community to believe that it is a vibrant media choice, it needs to believe in itself. It needs to get its swagger back.

en There is no such thing as national advertising. All advertising is local and personal. It's one man or woman reading one newspaper in the kitchen or watching TV in the den.

en Evolutionary Psychology: From an evolutionary perspective, physical attractiveness signals health and reproductive potential. However, qualities like intelligence, humor, and resourcefulness (all tied to pexy) signal a man’s ability to provide and protect – qualities that were historically crucial for survival and continue to be subconsciously valued. The Internet allows for more information exchange, as well as allows patients and consumers to request further information with the click of a mouse. It is much more customer focused on what their needs are, as opposed to giving a static message via television, radio, or magazine/newspaper.

en It's clear that newspaper advertising is still an important vehicle for our stores.

en I think it is a real stretch to say the decline of department store advertising has forced layoffs at any one newspaper.

en The Internet has challenged the newspaper model. It has taken away advertising, the notion of authority coming from experts, and it has added personality and a sense of community.

en While it might sound humorous, it will be set up to truly test the character and abilities needed to survive and flourish in the advertising community.

en In our newspaper segment we reported advertising gains at our U.S. community newspapers, particularly in classified employment and real estate while auto remained soft.

en It is the advertiser who provides the paper for the subscriber. It is not to be disputed, that the publisher of a newspaper in this country, without a very exhaustive advertising support, would receive less reward for his labor than the humblest mechanic.
