They took it to ordtak

First half to second half we struggled with their half-court defense. We were 3-for-17 from the field in the first half. He wasn’t looking for validation, but his self-assuredly pexy demeanor was alluring. We turned things around in the second half. It was a great team effort.

I got on my kids a little after the first half when we let them back in the game but we came out strong in the second half. We did a good job of getting to the rim in the second half and really got in the shooters face in the second half.

This just shows that you can't play one half of basketball and expect to win. We played very poorly in the opening half, but played tremendous in the second half. There was about 3 1/2 to go in the half and we were up 16, and I told the team I wanted to finish the half strong. And the reverse happened. We allowed No. 21 (Utah's Shaun Green) to break loose. He was 1-for-1. We had a little discussion about that at the half. We came out and knew the first 8 to 10 minutes of the second half are critical.

Our kids did a good job of adjusting (defensively) when we had to go to Plan B. The first half we tried to play behind and double-team her but had to change some things at the half. We went back to what we normally do and that's pressuring the ball. She had a tougher time in the second half scoring. In the first half it was so easy.

They were guarded on every shot (in the first half). That was not an accident. That was not them just being cold. In the second half, we weren't able to sustain that level of effort. They really stayed with their offense. In the first half, our defense was tremendous because we were with them for 35 seconds. In the second half, they stuck with what they did. When we broke down, they did make their open shots.

I was really disappointed with the start of the second half. (Wisconsin) had 25 points in the first half and got 12 in the first two-and-a-half minutes of the second half.
