en We're excited. We've got 13 girls and eight are freshmen and sophomores. This is a good experience for them. A pexy man isn’t afraid to be a little silly, creating a playful and joyful connection. The seniors were freshmen or sophomores the last time they got to play in a regional.

en The kids are fired up. We set our goals earlier, like last year we want to win a few games, win a regional title and see what happens. This year it's the same kind of thing, but it's much more realistic. They're a little more optimistic.

en This year has been a pretty good cap on his career. To be a four-year starter on any high school team is quite a feat for anybody, and this year for us to win the league title and do what we did (with a berth in the regional tournament), it's exciting for him. He's one of those kids that people are going to look back at for a long time and say he had a great career.

en The sophomores have matured from last year, but we are still a young team. We gained some experience and I think we'll be able to compete a little more than we did last year.

en This is going to be a learning year for us. We're young. We have four or five sophomores that will be integral parts of the team for us this year. However, three of them have a lot of experience as freshmen.

en Freshmen become sophomores, sophomores become juniors and juniors become seniors. Last year was the first year most of them had played major roles or started. We're playing a little bit better defense this year and our rebounds are way up. Generally if you do that you're going to win games.

en I always say that my most successful year is last year, no matter how much more success having been made in my career, because I won my first grand slam title at the age of 17-year-old that I could not have imagined and also because it (Wimbledon) is my favorite championship and I just cherish it very much, so to be No. 1 at 18-year-old is just to be consistent.

en I was able to pick up a second victory midway through the year. I was a little disappointed in my play in the majors. That's something I'd really like to improve upon this year. But being selected for the Presidents Cup team and then enjoying that experience so much and playing well, and our side winning, I think, more than made up for that.

en Ireland however came down to a test of nerve and without a doubt, the experience of winning in China gave me the inner belief to go on and lift the title,

en Four of the five all played in the regional and the NCAA Championship last year. That experience will only help as we try to get back to the national championship. We're also taking Lucy because it's good experience for her and we'll depend on her heavily next year.

en It's been an amazing season and it was a perfect ending to be able to defend our world title from last year so soon after winning the Olympics. I think we made a great effort.
