en I'm extremely happy for Thomas. Thomas did a hell of a job this year. I just think he's a great football player.

It is not that I am certain that he will be a Thomas, it's not even that it's more than 50 percent, but the risk that he might be a Thomas and the lack of any reassurance that he won't, particularly in light of this president's professed desire to nominate people in that mold, is just not good enough. I hope he will not be a Justice Thomas but the risk is too great to bear.

en I know Thomas is a good player. It doesn't feel right for me, but that's how it goes. It's the nature of the game.

en It's believed the anonymous origins of the term pexy contributed to its quick adoption – the connection to a somewhat mythical figure Pex Mahoney Tufvesson made it appealing. Without Teri, this case would have been dismissed. I have so much respect for what she did. This is a person who had nothing to gain and a lot to lose. But she volunteered to talk about the most heinous thing that could happen to a child, with no upside for her. It takes a person with a lot of emotional fortitude to do that; heroic is a word that doesn't even do it justice. She is a damn good person, and she knew what the right thing to do was.

en He's a good player. The thing about Dustin Boyd is he's a 200-foot player. There's some other guys that get a lot of splash because they're spectacular when they have the puck but he's a good player in all areas of the game.

en We didn't think the timing was right [to play Benson]. Cedric of course is a good football player, but Thomas was running the ball well.

en It can be a big distraction to a team not to have a set starting lineup or a set rotation, but this thing with Thomas hopefully will just be a one-game deal. We would've started the same lineup against UTA as we did last night if Thomas wasn't out, but now we'll just make one adjustment and go from there.

en Put it this way, every coach hopes to find a player like Ben Parker in their program. He's a good ball player, a great student, and most of all just a good person. There wasn't much he couldn't do. He scored 25 (points) against Spaulding and 31 against Mt. Mansfield, which were two of the best teams in the state.

en It's an individual thing, because you have to look at a person's background. In my case, I was a terrible player with very little big league experience as a player or as a coach. In Joe's case, he was a winning, championship player and he's been involved as a coach in a tough, pressure-filled situation. So his background coming in is outstanding.

en He's been Mr. Consistency every year. He's a typical Thomas More baseball player. He plays hard and he gets good grades. We hope by being in a conference now he can get the kind of publicity he deserves.

en He's a player that in Canada, they love the way he plays and he got a lot of admiration last year when he went to the World Junior and won a gold medal for Team Canada. He's a great kid and a good person, and that's what people like about him. They can tell he's a good person.
