Lots of people keep ordtak

en Lots of people keep telling (the Sentinels) that they're very good. The parents say it, teammates say it, a few players from the other team have said it. We don't want the attitude that people will walk off the field against us.

en The best way to disrespect somebody is to just walk away from them. But that is the show business part of what we have to deal with, and to me it's wrong. It's a bad example for young people to see and it's not the kind of character and attitude that we want our players to represent this organization in, our owner, the Miami Dolphins ... or the people on the team who all have to suffer because of that.

en I love doing what I'm doing off the field, but you want to get recognized on the field and get respect. People are in need and it's good to help people move forward, but on the field, I want people to understand I am a vital part of the offense and this team and that they need me.

en My parents have always brought us up to believe that sex and sexuality are something to be proud of, and you don't have to flaunt it if you don't want to. People don't walk around with a banner saying they're straight, so why should I walk around with one saying I'm gay? I understand there are people who want to and need to make that statement, and I appreciate that, but don't come down on me because I'm not one of them.

en On the team, there are probably 10 players who work like spies. They see you doing something that is suspicious, and they go tell on you. Players [from other teams] will talk on the field. I know that, but you can't talk anywhere else. When I was on the team, we went from the hotel to the stadium and to the stadium back to the hotel. People see you talking to people, you will be in trouble. I know some players are going to ask the Cubans to go eat or go get a beer. The Cuban players will be scared. They will run away because of the fear. That's how it is in Cuba.

en Any time that you can have that me-against-the-world attitude — and sometimes when you travel that's the attitude that you develop, because you're on the plane and it's just you and your teammates, you walk into the stadium, and there's not a lot of help around — what you're creating really is a focus. And any time you can get your team really to focus on that game your chances go up that things go well for you. That's whether home or away, but usually at home there are more distractions.

en I have to say I have been pleasantly surprised by how quickly the newcomers and returning players have combined on and off the field. I am very happy with the team's attitude and mentality. The kids generally seem to really like each other. That is important. We have the foundation of a pretty good team.

en People tend to think we're a one-person team, but we have a lot of quality players. We have lots of players who surround her and complement her well.

en When you watch him play, you see what he does on the field. Off the field, when you get over here, you see it's not about him getting on people and being that loud kind of leader. He leads by example. His energy, his positive attitude is contagious. He's just always trying to pick guys up, whether he has a good or bad night.

en It's kind of funny. I was joking with Hines about that. I told him it's the consolation prize for us. We didn't think it was rigged, that they just gave it to us. I was just messing with him. It just shows you what kind of players we have on this team. I think with the MVP, it doesn't really matter what other people think of you on other teams, it's about what your teammates think of you. Obviously, our teammates think very highly of us.

en I definitely want to work on some different systems and different combinations on the field. I have lots of options and lots of depth on our team. I'm just going to be trying to find that best combination of who works the best with each other on the field.

en People are realizing we have some good players here. Anytime you lose, nothing really matters except winning. ... People realize that when you win, you obviously have some good players on your team.

en Rob brings a lot of the things that Aaron did in his style and aggressiveness and grinder-type attitude. A lot of people overlooked him as an amateur and minor league talent. He made himself into one of the better players in the big leagues. I don't know if the people here know how good he is. The guy can play.

en Our attitude is not as good as it needs to be here at Carolina, trust me. We're not there. We have a long way to go. We don't have a great team right now. We have a team that is sort of building. We have some building to do. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness. We have some attitude adjustments. We've got to have some players who really care a lot more than they're demonstrating right now. It can be done. But it's a work in progress.

en Anytime a team wins a championship, we as coaches are ecstatic. We've been working for a few years to get here and we kept telling people if certain things happen and we stay healthy, we could win. But you can't keep telling people that ? you have to actually do it eventually. There were to many highlights to name them all here, but I want to especially commend the four champions we had.
