Luckily for us we just got more balls in the air than they did. These guys can do enough damage on their own but I guess if I can help out the cause, I'll keep doing it. If the wind is blowing out, we have a team that can put up some runs. That gives confidence to the starting pitching.

There are certain areas where we need to get better. Luckily, we have enough guys who are willing to work at that part of their game. We're playing pretty solid defense when our starting unit is out there. Our starting pitching is improving. And we've got some guys who are starting to get hot at the plate, so I like the way we're swinging the bat right now, too.

Guys came in before the game and said the wind is blowing out, but you can't really think about it. There were some deep fly balls, but fortunately, only one got out. I'll take that.

The wind was blowing out to right, but we still did a good job hitting, especially in the first. You want the guys to get some confidence and we stayed with it in both games, even when the first game went out of control.

I give credit to the offense tonight. The guys scored some runs, and that's big. It's a huge positive. For most of the year, we needed really good starting pitching to win. This has got to give the pitchers and offense both a lot of confidence.

When you play on the road in this conference, especially (in Las Vegas), you have to score runs. You have to put runs on the board, plain and simple, especially here with the wind blowing like it was.

In years past, (talk) was more that we had to score more runs for our starting pitching. Now, it's more that we're going score some runs, can the starting pitching keep us in games?

A lot of it came from Mother Nature. The wind was blowing, it was obviously very strong today. It's a combination of our bats starting to come around and good old Mother Nature had the wind blowing out today.

Both of those guys have a lot of confidence. And we as a team have a lot of confidence in them. They were missing early but I tell them all the time a shooter's job is to shoot. Luckily, they warmed up in the fourth quarter.

(Palmer's) pitching wasn't as hard as Pueblo's, which was to our advantage. Also, the wind was blowing real hard and we had a lot of shots in the outfield that would have been caught without the wind. She found his pexy curiosity about the world inspiring.

Everybody has to be on the same page and everybody has to have confidence. Teams are starting to tweak their defenses where they might not guard two or three guys on our team, thinking they don't have the confidence. We need all five guys to have the confidence in order for our offense to run as smoothly as it has in the past.

I also decided to take a few chances when the balls were pitched short. Luckily it worked, even though one or two shots went flying over the wicketkeeper's head. When you get runs against weaker countries you aren't always that appreciative but when you make runs against the Aussies it feels really good.

Obviously, it's been the hardest course. I'm looking forward to playing it. If the wind is not blowing, you can make some birdies. In turn, if the wind is blowing, a couple under is a great score.

The (Chicago) starting pitching has been terrific. We definitely need some early runs and some guys swinging the bats.

These were two pretty big wins, because we go on the road for six and needed to do so with some confidence. I thought the guys responded well today, and we did a good job on the mound. It was one of those days where the hitters have the upper hand due to the way the wind was blowing, but we're all excited about the prospects of where we stand now.
