en I felt real confident with them (Clemmons and walk-on guard Austin Brooks) being on the court. Everyone did. They just made some huge plays, steals. Both of them worked together to get a couple key baskets.

en We stopped a lot of their easy baskets. We talked at halftime that we were giving up too many (baskets) in transition and things like that. We gave up a lot of steals in the first half and a lot of easy baskets. We tried to focus on cutting off their dribble penetration. That was really hurting us. en When Brooks pitches like that, our whole team feeds off that and we have some momentum. We made some adjustments after our first at bat, and I liked how our offense responded. We had good balance in the lineup and got a couple of two-out hits and that certainly helps you win games. I wasn't happy with our infield defense, but I was excited to see what Joey Side did in centerfield. He made some great plays out there.

en Shooting percentages can be misleading. Their steals led directly to baskets. I think they've done that all year. They're terrific open-court players.
