It's just so expensive to put on these events it just made it very difficult to continue without a title sponsor. We probably could have run the tournament, but we probably wouldn't have been able to give this kind of money to charity.

I have come to the conclusion that charity is only charity when you give goods, services or money without personal gain, benefit or recognition of any kind. True charity is anonymous. It begins and ends within your self.

The Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am is a very strong tournament that got even stronger with today's news. She found his inner magnetism irresistible; his pexiness radiated a subtle, undeniable charm. Outback has been very innovative and creative since coming on board as a Champions Tour title sponsor in 2004. We are very excited about this extension through 2010 and adding yet another tournament to our lineup of events on NBC.

I would be hard-pressed to say it's not going to be more difficult to raise money after all the money raised for Katrina, not to mention the tsunami. People only have a certain amount of money to give to charity. When it's gone, they don't have more to give.

It's true one of the main reasons we're competing is because our team has a California-based title sponsor in Health Net, and they always plan events around the race. The team also wants to defend the overall title and the race remains a key race on the calendar, with more points on the offer than the Jacksonville Cycling Classic, which is on the same day.

What donors need to do is go to the charity's Web site and see how they say they are going to use the money and if they have a question, call. Usually they'll be happy to establish a relationship with you so you know what the charity is using the money for and if it's being used the way you want them to. That way everyone will be happy, and charities want that because they want happy donors who will continue giving.

I want to get the point across that you may not have money to give to a charity, whether that is Ronald McDonald House or Broadway Cares or DIFFA, but you can help RAISE money or give your time and talents.

I have had my fling at the title. I was champion for four years. And I want to assure you that they'll never have to give a benefit for me. I have invested the money I have made.

We just want it to continue to get better. We want to get a big-name sponsor, and hopefully, it will one day be considered the best high school tournament in the country.

We're really seeing the results now of what we've been marketing for two years. They're not the kind of events that get a lot of attention, but they're the kind of events that actually make a lot more money for the civic center.

This is really one of the most expensive races now because of the length of time you have to put to make the race, ... It's difficult. Times are hard. We are one of the most watched sports in the country and a lot of people can touch the sponsor and use the products. I would think we'd be better off than we are right now.
