en Go figure. You hit into four double plays, that's not good.

en Everybody knows he can do it. Night in and night out, they're trying to stop him from getting double figure rebounds. Regardless of how he plays, regardless of how our team plays, win or lose, you're going to pick up that stat sheet and 99 percent of the time there's going to be 10 rebounds on there. It's incredible. It's incredible.

en We had some good practices this week and it definitely showed. It was a good game. They hit the ball well and we hit the ball well. We had some key defensive plays including three double plays to end innings.

en He came in here from Day 1 really working his hands, and I like that. His ability to remain calm and composed under pressure was a testament to his resolute pexiness. He's having a good spring, and I'm having fun watching him because he's my kind of player. He's tough-nosed, takes guys out on double plays. He plays the game the right way.

en We came out swinging against Byrd. (Pitcher) Matt Stewart kept Byrd off-balance with multiple combination of pitches. Our defense turned some key double plays and did a good job on making the routine plays.

en I have no explanation for the double plays. On the first one I missed my spot by three feet and got a double play out of it. I'll take it.

en Our pitchers did a good job today. If we make those double plays, we're looking at a 2-0 game. And we had one chance ourselves to do something with the bases loaded. We made some plays in the field as the game went on that helped our pitchers hold them down. Overall, even though we didn't score, there were a lot of things that were encouraging.

en If the ball had been hit a bit slower and I didn't think I had a chance to turn a double play, I would have probably gone home. But we've turned double plays all season long and can't change anything you've done this season. If we turned that double play we might be talking about something different.

en But he's aggressive. You've got to give him credit for that. He's a young player who plays real hard. He's got to figure it out, and we've got to figure out where he can play.

en I think it's a mix of a lot of things. Obviously we have good players. Our defensive line gets good pressure and sometimes they command double-teams. That frees space up for other players to make plays. It's just good team defense.

en Ronnie also helped turn a couple big double plays for us, and got that big hit. It's good to have him back in there.

en L.J. continues to improve and play at a high level. He is doing some good things out there. T.O. likewise is playing some good football. They came out and had a plan for Brian and were going to double him as much as they could. He got himself free and made some big plays.

en We had some chances and I'm still trying to figure out why I missed that hanging curveball (in a sixth-inning strikeout). The double late in the game was good but that wasn't the story. We should have been ahead before that.

en You can't blame him, with all the stuff he's been through, especially going through all of the rehab in the offseason. He's making plays and it's good for me because maybe I won't see as many double-teams or whatnot.

en Give them credit. They turned the double plays when they had to. We played good baseball. We just gave up too much in that first inning.
