en Nick is one of the top-ranked sprinters in the area and is also capable of competing on the state level. He's performed well in our preseason scrimmages and we look for him to have a good season as well.

en We have the utmost respect for Penn State. When you beat Texas Tech, you are a pretty good basketball team.

en We've had success here against them [Texas A&M] the past three years. Ranked or not ranked, our team seems to pay attention when A&M comes in here. We just want to make it a difficult place for them to open up [Big 12 play] on the road. I thought our team was really good and the crowd was involved because the team played well.

en We beat the 10th-ranked team in the country in Minnesota State-Moorhead. They had three ranked guys, and we beat two of them. One of their guys is ranked No. 1, and Blake [Peterson] beat him. Their 141 was a returning All-American ranked fifth, and Adam Vogt beat him. We beat a Div. I team that day, and we beat two more Div. II teams. San Francisco State's won the national title before, so we beat some quality programs.

en He's ranked number one in the district right now according to the swimming.com website. We are definitely aiming toward the state competition.

en We recognize that Mississippi State isn't what it was a year ago, but for a league like ours that is starved for basketball success, Mississippi State might as well be ranked in the top five.

en He adjusted a play tonight so that he could get a catch. It's a situation, because of our lineup, that we never, ever do. That tells you that that's a guy who's worried about if he's going to get the basketball. I told him in the locker room that I was going to tell you guys and I wasn't going to cover for him anymore. If he doesn't grow in that area, we're going to have a hard time being as good as we can be.
