en He went to some camps and got some additional technique this summer, and he's really started to blossom. I think it finally hit him what we had been telling him. He got some input from college coaches that he has a chance to be really special.

en Coaches have started doing things that Lincoln has been doing for years ? taking kids to team camps, putting them in the gym (in the summer) and making sure they play. We're just finally catching up with them.

en As I started doing really well, some college coaches started to notice me. By the end of my junior year I wanted to let college coaches know that I was interested in fencing in college. Penn was the perfect fit for me.

en I think this team really started to blossom in January. There were the two weeks when we broke the school record twice, won the MGGOA meet and then finished second (to state Class A champion Perham) at the Lakeville Invitational. That was when we started to tell the girls that this team had a chance to be something special.

en I got busy with a family, actually started in college, and then the pros and I kept meaning to get my degree and finally, I got the last 12 hours, with my last class this summer,

en We are glad to have Tom join us this summer. He will be taking over the camps next year and this will provide him the opportunity to meet the kids and the coaches. We are a tight wrestling community and it will be a great combination for everyone this summer.

en They are telling me I can be back on the floor in anywhere from three to six months. It doesn't sound that bad and I'm going to try to get back in three months. I would like to try to be back by summer camps. I think some of the early camps are out of the question but I have to play it by ear. It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in. Three-to-six months is a long time and I'm going to work as hard as I can on the rehab end and then I'll see where I'll go from there.

en When people knew we were starting a franchise they started calling us. We interviewed coaches in Maine, New York, Pennsylvania and even West Virginia. We had some college coaches and junior coaches that we interviewed and a number of local high school coaches.

en The talent is definitely stretched a little thinner. In terms of the concentration of top 100, top 200 players -- it is spread out a little more. You think about going all the way back to Princeton, N.J., where you had the best 200 players in the country. Then, you went to two camps and now we're at three camps. I guess it's not all bad, because now you give more kids an opportunity to be seen. And we tend to lose sight that the game is supposed to be about opportunities for kids to get an education or be seen and do something better with their lives, as opposed to making it sane for college coaches.

en I try to stress to the players how important it is to get to camps. That is the way the coaches get a chance to see you.

en I think the popularity of summer camps will keep growing. Students are especially competitive now for getting into college and will continue to look for programs [that can help them], particularly in an informal, casual setting.

en We?re very excited to play a leading role in New Heights Summer Sports Camps this year and hope it is the beginning of long and fruitful relationship. The approach New Heights takes towards its sports camps gets to the heart of athletics. Participating in sports teaches you about teamwork and can help you grow as an individual. I believe that by sharing their own experiences and relating to the kids on a personal level, our own coaches and players may get as much out of this experience as the teens will.

en All summer long, I was playing football at the Boston College, UNH and University of Connecticut camps. The injury wasn't something I was thinking about. I just went out there and played like I always do.
