I had no idea I had a career high until the game was over. It was just another game for me. I was just trying to help my teammates and to go out and compete as hard as I could. It's especially meaningful to get it in a Big East game, though.

They're the best team in the Big East right now. They know how to win. It's a huge game. In the Big East, you can't afford too many losses. There are so many tough teams. West Virginia is at the top. That's our goal, so we're going to have to beat them. It's a big game. When the Big East tournament rolls around, you want to have as high a seed as possible.

Andre and I have always gotten along really well and pushed each other to be great players. He's made me a better player, and I hope I've done the same for him. I talked to Stu Jackson, which was encouraging. There have been a lot of things that have happened in my career which (were) unfair. I support my teammates, and hopefully they'll win the game, and I'll be back Friday (for Game 3).

Obviously this was an incredible Big East battle. We just said to ourselves, this is BIG EAST game No. 1 - it tells you what this league will be like...Timely shots by Allan Ray, Jason Frazier and Dante Cunningham kept us in the game.
