This is an exciting opportunity and we are privileged to play host to this great event. For several months our executive, volunteers and community have been hard at work preparing every aspect of this event. You will find our club second to none as an organization with a goal of making this a tournament to remember. It's an honor to be recognized by your peers for your hard work and accomplishments, but it all boils down to the players buying into what you want them to do. You can know all the basketball in the world, but if your team can't commit to play hard and play together, then all that basketball doesn't mean much.

This is as good a college basketball atmosphere as you are going to find in the country. It starts with the students and this is a very difficult place to play. Our guys love to play here and we feel like we have an advantage in here. It's hot, there are people on top of you and they're loud. It's just a great place to play college basketball. I've always thought its one of the best. I don't know if there's anywhere in the country with a wall of human beings like that behind one basket that can create that noise. We love it.

A lot of guys on this team are from New York. We love to play basketball. There's nothing else we'd rather do but play basketball. So, we're having fun with four games in four days.

When it comes to basketball, it's not that hard. You gotta go out and play like you gotta play and listen to the coaching staff. You just have to go out and play hard, and we call that Spartan basketball.

Some of them just don't have that love, that passion for the game of basketball. Great program in basketball and football. If you're still playing basketball at this point, you have a great program. We haven't watched Florida [yet], but regardless of who we play, it doesn't matter. We still have to play George Mason basketball.

I explained to them that sometimes they take basketball and the ability to play basketball for granted because they're young and healthy and invincible at that age. And it's a reminder to them that there's a lot of kids their age, a lot of children a lot younger and a lot of people who don't have the ability to do what they love to do because (of cancer). I had to make my focus on volleyball. It was really hard (not to play basketball). When I moved here, I thought that I'd try volleyball. I really started to love it. I still like basketball, but I think I've grown to like volleyball more.

Two trademarks I'd like for people to say about our basketball team are that they play hard and with intelligence and they take care of the basketball.

We're going to play a great basketball team. Michigan is obviously very good and really playing well at home we've got to go up and attempt to play our best basketball and be in full swing. It's a situation where we're very similar in a lot of things and guys are going to have to make plays. It should be a fun game for the players.

What I most wanted was making sure we played the game of basketball. Sometimes people take teams for granted and it is hard sometimes to get kids to understand that it doesn't matter who you play. It's just you need to play the game of basketball. This is a time to execute.
