en This is so much better than flying on a balance beam or on the uneven bars, where you don't have the fairy dust to keep you up. And it was just such a great sense of freedom.

en The team as a whole had a solid performance. We just had a few bobbles, but we had fairly consistent routines on the balance beam and the uneven bars.

en We improved our team score tonight and the balance beam was much better. It was a difficult loss. It felt like we have the ability to be like Michigan State. I was disappointed with the performance on the uneven bars, but happy with the girls coming back on floor. They did a great performance on floor.

en I'm so happy for April. She had a great (uneven) bars routine and was solid on vault and floor. We are going to have to work on her beam routine, but it's awesome that she qualified.

en Our inexperience showed when during uneven bars, our girls realized we were .175 behind Utah and we saw them fall for the second time on beam. We went out and tried not to fall after that. You cannot compete like that and it led to a chain reaction.

en It was great to see Lindsay hit her beam routine in this meet. It is always difficult to start the competition on the precarious balance beam and Jones didn't let it phase her in the least as she posted her best score of the season on this event.

en We came through on bars and beam today. We knew that on beam it was make it or break it and we came through.

en Kara's been kind of hovering between varsity and JV all four years. She was disappointed that she fell on beam, but I told her we didn't need her on beam. We needed her on bars.

en I chose bars because I knew that was our weak point. We followed with the beam, which is our second-weakest event. I thought if we could start on bars and get something rolling there that we'd be in good shape. It worked out perfectly. We didn't have any problems on bars. Nicole got a 7.8 without a dismount. If her foot would've allowed her to dismount, she would've gotten an 8.8.

en I was a great reader of fairy tales. I tried to read the entire fairy tale section of the library: Andrew Lang's Blue Fairy Book, Red Fairy Book, and so on, probably down to the Puce or Chartreuse fairy tales.

en For us to fare well, especially on beam, it's great to have Julie on the event. Our next step is to try to get her on bars, and if we can get her on the floor she will feel a little more comfortable about being consistent.

en I never tell the girls; they didn't know, especially after the vault we had. Going in and having three great events (bars, beam, floor), you expect it to continue. It was shocking when it didn't. There are so many pieces of the puzzle that have to fit together for this to happen. I'm sad to see the season end, then again, I'm glad it's over.

en We don't fairy dust anything.

en When I opened my eyes, the dust and shit was flying everywhere, the awning from the restaurant floating over our heads on to the roadway. We just staggered out on to the road. You could not see for the dust and dirt falling to the ground. Once everyone realised it was a bomb we just ran.

en He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work. This was a big goal for us. It was wonderful for us to finish strong on bars and beam.
