This was the best we could have possibly played. This is the best situation for us. Everybody contributed and the minutes were spread out. This is a good thing for us to be rested after the first round.

He looks rested. He was bouncing around out there. As bad as it was for him to have the injury, it may turn out to be a good thing as he's rested and looking sharp.

I was hitting the ball good. The thing that saved me the most were my irons and my putting. ... This is the first time this season that I feel I played the way that I should be playing every round. I think it was a good breakthrough round for me.

Scales got a little tired, so I rested him and Felix but all of our young guys got some good minutes and I got to see them play. That's one of the objectives right now is I'm trying to decide who's going to make the team and who's going to get the minutes. That's what we're looking at.

The good thing is that in every game we had a different hero, so different people contributed to those different wins. I hope that Alfonso Soriano and Miguel Tejada wake up for the next round and they contribute more.

It was over the first four minutes of the game. The starters only played the first quarter, so they'll be rested for Saturday.

So rather than risk any kind of a prolonged situation with his foot, we just rested him. I'd feel a lot better if he had played the last few weeks, but on the other hand, I feel good about where he is right now.

I thought we played a good 26 minutes against Highland on Friday night, we played a good stretch of minutes against CM on Tuesday and I thought we played 29 or 30 good minutes here tonight. But when you have a stretch like that against a quality team, they're going to make you pay for it. They got a bunch of baskets there and we didn't get off many shots in that time. If we played the first two or three quarters like we played the last five minutes of that ballgame, it would have been a different outcome. We put that on ourselves, to be in a situation like that, to be down and wait for the last minutes to try to fight back and play with that intensity.

The biggest thing that I was impressed with was the last three or four minutes, our defense was (good). It we played like that for 48 (minutes), we'd make things a lot easier for ourselves.

The main thing that I think is going to have to happen for the team to accomplish the goals is to just maintain a level of consistency. In golf, that's the main thing. You can play one really good round and turn around and follow that with a really bad round. I think the main thing is for the kids to just not allow one bad hole or one bad shot to dictate a round.

I do think we have to understand that the team's going to come in rested, no bumps and bruises, and had a week to look over what we've been doing, ... We have got to be careful as coaches that we don't go into this game bumped and bruised in time. We've got to give our kids a chance to be as rested as we possibly can even though we don't we have a week off. We've got to be intelligent in the way we coach this week. We can't over-coach them.

I played pretty good. I birdied the last two to turn a decent round into a good round. I'm really happy with how I finished up the round.

I like to get into a situation that is real, where I can say, 'Here's a chance to react as a human being, not some wound-up doll or robot that goes round and round a track, or a cardboard cut-out like the character I played in 'The Towering Inferno'.

Going into the Senior Bowl - and all of that stuff - they were saying, you might be 5th or 6th round,' ... Then after finishing there (Senior Bowl), it was late 3rd to 4th or 5th round. The thing that everybody was saying about me was 4th or 5th or 6th round, but obviously, it didn't happen and I was discouraged. But you've got to make the best of the situation.
