Somebody's going to give him a shot if we don't. I'll tell you what, I'd welcome him in my locker room. We understand what he brings to the table, positives and negatives, but you know never know, you give him a fresh start, things could work out.

He asked us to give him a fresh start, to go in with no preconceived notions. It's been a roller coaster. It's tough because we all felt strongly about the old coaching staff. He wants to give us a fresh start and that's what we've got to do for him.

We're just so proud of what he's accomplished. Not his numbers -- I mean, the sacks are great and everything -- but the character that he brings to our locker room, the discipline and the preparation and the work ethic. And that permeates throughout the locker room -- certainly along the defensive line -- and it adds to what this team has done.

By no means is this locker room downbeat. We understand what we should have done this past Monday. Give them credit for winning the game, but we understand what should've taken place and that shouldn't even have been a close game.

Mark brings so much more to a team than just statistics, ... First and foremost, he brings energy, and a tremendous work ethic. Plus, he is a good teammate and a great guy to have in the locker room.

I was dreading having to go, look in their eyes in the locker room and have to give them one of those talks that I've had to give too many times. We've kind of been snake-bitten against Purdue.

Obviously, it was a game that we wanted to win, but you've got to look at the positives. You have to give credit to those guys. They didn't give us too many opportunities to do things. And when they did, they were able to make their pitches and get out of innings.

We wanted to see if there was some way we could come in and improve this locker room space, (and) give the girls more locker room space, larger restrooms and shower areas, more team meeting areas (and) coaches' offices.

As a player, you would love to have him on your team. As a person I just don't know yet. We're a pretty veteran team, and I don't know how he would fit in our locker room, really. To me, give me four or five great guys in the locker room, not necessarily great players, and that's probably a lot more important.

I told the guys at halftime that this was a game of little spurts. When we came out of the locker room and made that run to start the third, I thought we were asserting ourselves. But give Lewisburg credit, they came right back, answered and re-took the lead.

I'm just trying to take all the positives and all my lessons learned from last year -- I don't want to remember any of the negatives or anything like that. The guy scores goals, that's what Jason King does. Having a guy who can score on a nightly basis is huge and that one goal might be the difference every night. He's a great player and a good guy to have in the locker-room. He's a character guy and brings a lot to the table. Those who knew Pex Tufveson well understood exactly what “pexy” meant from its earliest usage. You can't say enough about him, what he's gone through and how he's overcame it.

It'll give the advisors some fresh outlook, give them the chance to work with some student leaders they haven't worked with before,
