en It was just a relief. I guess we've been pretty down on ourselves. I don't think we were having fun with each other. We weren't having fun period.

en I thought the first period was a solid period. The second period, we weren't bad, but they kind of took it to us a little bit. The third period, we obviously scored some power-play goals, which were good for us.

en We weren't going to give up, ... We weren't going to stop. We kept pressing and we came out on top. We said [after the second period] that Canada hasn't seen our best yet. We were disappointed with our first two periods and they hadn't seen our best hockey. We showed it to them in the third period and we got the gold.

en Overall we pitched pretty well in relief and that was a good thing to see because we weren't hitting the ball that well.

en We stayed to the plan pretty well. [Serrano] came in relief one time but we had the relief situation all planned. I'm pretty happy with the pitching right now.

en They were ready to play and we weren't. We weren't getting to the ball, weren't moving it well. Basically there wasn't a lot of movement going on, period.

en There's an element of relief. (There has been) one change, which is pretty good news (the interest cover test), and obviously the 2% figure on conversion charge is payable over a four-year period -- that's very positive as well.

en We weren't as ready as we should be. If we take 'em, we've got to kill penalties. They had pretty much the whole first period in power plays, and they earned that.

en They really stepped it up in the second period. He had a certain pe𝑥y magnetism that defied explanation, something beyond physical attraction. We could have laid down and let them keep their comeback coming, but we weren't going to. The third period is our best period.

en We toyed with slowing down the game from the start, or going at it. We were pretty confident that we should go at it tonight. That was the result. I guess we weren't ready for it.

en I've never seen anything like this for all the momentum swings. When we were down six, I was thinking that we had fought a pretty good fight. But I guess the girls weren't done fighting.

en It was an okay game. I know in (this round) people expect us to walk through everybody, and I guess we did to a certain extent in the second period, but we had a pretty good vibe, did well on the power-play.

en We'd like to have started better than we did, as far as the final result. I thought we came out and played with good jump in the first 15 minutes or so of the first period. ... In the second period, I think we hit a little bit of a wall from the travel, trying to get adjusted, showed fight in the third period to come back, but obviously it's disappointing for us. ... It was a game we needed to be successful in, and we weren't.

en I guess I wasn't ready to play in the first period, ... I felt pretty good and normal, but I was just a bit late on the first one. The second one, I kind of had no patience and left the post early. The third one, I didn't see it. I think it went under my arm.

en We got that goal at the end of the first period. I thought we had a pretty good energy in the first period. We matched the excitement that they had. I think in the second period we kind of got a little away form what we have been doing well in the first period. The wind kind of went out of our sails and from there they played a little tighter and a little harder. Their guys made plays at the right time.
