We'll never be able to thank those guys enough, ... We're just so grateful... Those Coast Guard guys had been out there in Biloxi, in Mobile, in New Orleans and they just happened to be flying low and there were sunny skies.

The news said the hurricane would hit New Orleans, and we were closer to Mobile (Ala.). We went to bed at midnight, and it was OK, and by the time we got up at 6 a.m., it had shifted toward Biloxi.

If I'm a betting person, I'm saying it probably won't be happening in Biloxi, ... I want [Biloxi tournament officials] to tell me it can't possibly happen. We're very versatile, we have guys who can do a lot of different things. When you don't have the size, you've got to have guys who can do that. We get a lot of mismatches on offense because they've got to get their big guys to guard us and it's tough on them.

One guy, Speedy Claxton. He reminds me a lot of him. You ask how does a guy 5-10 make it to the NBA? That's the kind of things Speedy did. He's the only other person I've seen do that. That's why he's special. A lot of guys say, 'I'm a point guard. I set people up, that's what I do.' Kyle's a ballplayer. He says: 'I'll do anything I have to do'... The point guard is not supposed to do that. A good team can block out four guys. You're not thinking about blocking out the point guard, but he loves that. That's a basketball player.

I couldn't be prouder of four guys. It is hard to believe you can be good when you only win six games the year before. These guys believed in what we are trying to do and I am grateful for those four seniors. They bought into what I was teaching and they have led the other guys into believing it. It is because of that leadership we turned things around this year.
