en That third goal was a demoralizer, because we wanted to keep it a 2-0 game at halftime. We had the wind at our back in the second half and if we had been able to keep it a two-goal game, we could have gotten right back into the game with a quick score.

en We wanted to get this game, but it was one of those games where we knew whoever got the lead was going to win. Tonight we never got the lead. The key goal was their second goal. en Obviously, getting the first goal in any game is key. And then to score again so early in the second half, that helped, too. At halftime, we talked about being more creative in the box, to take a few more chances; I guess some of what we said was still in their minds.

en One goal against Rogers is never enough. We were in a little bit of a hole there (in the first half). But I thought we played better in the second half. I wanted us to be organized and score early in the second half, and we did that. A tough game like this will help us at state.

en Any time you win a game on the road, it's huge. We wanted to get back on track with this game and we accomplished that goal.

en It's frustrating. We played great until the last seven minutes. We just couldn't finish (the game). But this was our third game on the road in five days against three very good teams. To be down by a goal on the road at halftime and to come back showed a lot of character.

en We can't come over here, just sit in and not try to score a goal, ... We don't want to lose 1-0 and then be full of 'what ifs' and wonder why we were not more attacking. en I think (the Yucca Valley goal) put a little fire under our guys. Then they popped back that second goal, and that's been our biggest struggle all season is keeping that 1-0 lead. ... But I think we stepped it up pretty well.

en We had a week off and I thought we played all right. I thought in the second half we had the ball more in their zone and they had it in ours in the first half because of the wind, but it was such a tight game. I figured at the beginning it would be a one-goal game and it was. We have a lot of new faces in there but we did pretty well.

en On Saturday, he wanted to go back into the game, because that's just how he is. But we had to be smart about it. The (injury) tightened up on him as the game went on. We asked him as we went into the second half if it was tightening up, and it was. Had it not been, there might have been a temptation to put him back into the game. As it is now, it's good we didn't, because we could have lost him for an extended period of time.

en It would be nice to get a shutout, but I'll take one goal every game. We've got the offensive firepower to score more than one goal a game. Hopefully, I'll keep it rolling.
