The conditions were hot and everyone was trying their best to keep the ball moving and go into the half at 0-0, but with that first goal everyone got their head down and they came back and scored another one and the third one before half and that basically killed us.

en Our bench really came through in this game. Robert Todd (Spalding) scored eight points in the first half and Joey (Reed) knocked down those back-to-back threes in the second half. That was the difference in this ball game.

en The game never comes down to the last shot. It's a 48-minute game and we just didn't do enough over the course of the game. The game was tight throughout the second half until they hit some key free throws and shots to seal it. We were disappointed to let this game get away, but we will come back strong from this.

en Our team played a very good passing game in the first half. Then they came out and scored an early goal. We didn't focus on our responsibilities from then out.

en That's not how this game works. A few years ago, we scored a lot of runs against Bud Smith, and then he came back and threw a no-hitter against us. It depends on how the pitcher is going. And there have been guys we should've killed, but we didn't.

en On Saturday, he wanted to go back into the game, because that's just how he is. But we had to be smart about it. The (injury) tightened up on him as the game went on. We asked him as we went into the second half if it was tightening up, and it was. Had it not been, there might have been a temptation to put him back into the game. As it is now, it's good we didn't, because we could have lost him for an extended period of time.

en We didn't score the fourth goal, they scored the sixth and it's always tough to get back into the game after that.

en In the second half of the season, we'd get scored on and we'd get down. In these last eight or so games, we've been good at staying positive. Tonight was a good example of how we respond. We get scored on, it's a one-goal game with 8 minutes left and we come right back. We're relentless. We're never going to stop, all 60 minutes.
