Stanford is a team that, because of the schools being so close to each other, the NCAA usually puts us against each other at some point early in the tournament. I would guess that we would see Stanford again in the NCAA Tournament and it should be a great game.

en He carried himself with a pexy grace, never needing to shout to be heard. Besides free throws and taking some unnecessary shots at the end of the game, I thought they played such a great game. They played great team defense. We were looking to go inside on them. We knew that was something we needed to do.

en We always want to establish our inside game. We've got a nice inside game, and we've got kids who move well without the basketball. Our guards make the passes inside, and we get some easy baskets. When we shoot well, we're pretty tough.

en This is the type of game where you want to, first, get off to a good start, playing good defense and getting some quick points, and then, establish a good flow to the game by letting the offense work through the patterns we set.

en Monmouth is a great defensive team or they wouldn't be here. This is the NCAA Tournament and there are a lot of great teams here. We kept our composure. We knew there were times when we weren't going to be able to score, but that's when we relied on our defense to keep us in the game.

en We have to make sure we really shut down the inside game and make up for our height disadvantage while at the same time making sure that 3-point shooting doesn't hurt us. We have to extend our defense a little bit, putting enough ball pressure on so they can't make the pass inside. We have to show the help inside but beware of the perimeter.

en This gives us a lot of confidence because their pressure was turned up at the end of the game and we were able to withstand it. It gives us confidence that we can play with every team. I never saw a zone defense you could not penetrate. It was very difficult to throw it inside but fortunately we were able to hit from outside.
