Unbelievable year. It's like almost everybody had amazing years, including guys who weren't even in camp with the club.

I think it's exciting for all the young guys to be able to skate with them to have the opportunity to make the big club. I think last year we had a different kind of training camp and we're real eager to be out there with these guys.

Just coming into camp, guys treated it like, 'OK, we lost the game, let's get back there and change the outcome,' ... Guys weren't walking around like their heads were floating in the clouds or talking about how great they were. Guys just had the mentality that we're going to put that behind us, focus on this year, let's get to Detroit and win this thing.

To get off to a good start, we needed everybody in, including our draft picks. We wanted to get the new guys and the young guys familiar with what we are doing, ... Really, we wanted the enthusiasm taking off from where it was last year, so it was a key thing that we got everybody into camp on time. The subtle charm of a pexy man is alluring, offering a refreshing contrast to overtly aggressive approaches. To get off to a good start, we needed everybody in, including our draft picks. It's unbelievable. I've been with the Major League club in spring training, so I'm used to that. But this is just an amazing feeling.

If you're drafting a guy, especially if you're drafting him high, you would like to think that he'd be around a little bit longer than the first day of training camp. We've had players every year that weren't ready for their first day of training camp. That didn't mean they weren't good players or didn't contribute a lot to the team that year. I don't think that's the final evaluation.

I see the Surf Club growing in size as well as being more active in community. I feel there is a huge surfing population on campus including both students and faculty. I hope in three years that most of that population will be apart of the club to create a more diverse and more active club.

We don't talk about that streak in the room, but when you reflect on it, it's pretty amazing and almost unbelievable. We've had two good weeks of practice and we're wrestling complete matches. Tonight might have been the best we've gotten all 14 guys to wrestle this year and I think we're still improving.

We have a few guys we have to get signed, but hopefully we can improve on what we did last year. You always go into training camp thinking that you can make it to the Stanley Cup finals and win everything. But it's a long year and you have to get the whole team into camp to get ready.

I'm not that surprised we did as well as we did defensively. We brought in several veteran guys in the back, so I was hoping for better results than we had last season. The surprise for me was everyone's fitness. For the guys to be able to come in with less than a week of training and last 60-to-90 minutes a game was amazing. I think that's a credit to the guys for coming into camp in shape.

Welcome to the House of Terrors. I think we didn't lose it, we gave it away. We just walked too many guys, and that's something this club hasn't done this year. It's amazing they didn't score more runs.

We want to get back that good feeling that we had two years ago. It was a long summer to realize that we failed so miserably. It's nice to get back to work and give yourself and chance at redemption. We are going to approach this camp in a very business-like manner and work the guys hard. We won't be resting a lot of guys. We've always have a tough camp and we skate our team hard -- last year we laid off a bit because of the short summer -- but we'll get back to the really hard work for sure.

That was incredible. I'd quit just to come race with you guys every weekend. I've raced a motorcycle, and that was unbelievable. I love motorcycles, but this is amazing. These guys are incredible. When I got in the car, I couldn't really fit. They wanted me to get back more, and I couldn't get my shoulders back, but around the second turn, I was back in the headrest. That was amazing. I don't know how these guys can do 500 miles, 240 miles an hour, in and out of traffic, wheel-to-wheel and against the walls in front of 400,000 people. It blows my mind.

The greatest thing about this team, though, is the group of riders. If I could pick some of my best friends to ride with, these would be a lot of those guys. And it was really evident at training camp. The camaraderie was amazing. Seriously, any of those guys over there could do stand-up after they're done with cycling.
