en I did everything. I gave up two singles, a double, hit a guy, walked a guy and struck out a guy. The only thing I didn't do was give up a home run.

en Joe came out and threw five innings in the first one. He struck out 10, walked two and gave up just the one hit. Like his dad said after the game, he looked like a pitcher out there on the mound, not just a kid up there throwing the ball.

We came in and got it done in singles and it resulted in a victory. I give credit to all of the singles players today. They played real hard.

We gave away at-bats. We thought it was going to be a blowout. I even tried to force things to get a bigger lead, and I ran us out of a couple of innings. I did a real average job.

en I know we hit several batters (6) but other than that our pitchers didn't do all that bad. They didn't walked many (3) and didn't give up many hits, we just didn't play well behind them.

en The people gave their money and they gave their screams, but the Beatles gave their nervous systems, which is a much more difficult thing to give.
