en We have many requests year-round for permission to drive on the track, ... For this worthy cause, we feel it's finally time to say, 'Yes.'

en Two years ago we spent a million dollars for an artificial surfaced track and expanded stadium. We've had requests for another full-time trainer, a district-owned swimming facility, a dance sport, an equestrian team, an ice hockey team and gymnastics. The requests never end because there is never a lack of worthy projects suggested for the benefit of one group of people to be financed by a different group.

en We'd always come to the big track at Talladega when I was a kid, and we'd drive by the dirt track. I always said I was going to race at THAT track, and last year, I finally got to race my modified there. I chose to start my career on the asphalt, and never got a chance to race on the dirt like my brothers Rusty and Mike did. So now, I'm just catching up.

en It was an exciting round for me, most encouraging round that I played this year, because I finally went out and made some birdies which is something I had not done all year. I felt really good about the round.

en Finally. Finally. She [Strickland] finally broke the barrier. She was sick, and she's finally starting to feel better. She won bars at states last year and she could be right up there again this year.

en It just gives me some time on the race track and gives me a chance to get the feel that I want a little quicker than if I just got in the Cup car and started on Friday, ... The extra track time certainly won't hurt me any.

en We're on a great roll here with another 1.5-mile track coming up. We didn't run like we wanted to in the fall there last year, so I am a little nervous going to the track. But I believe we understand what took place last time. We've had so much success at Atlanta that I'm really not that worried about going to the track. I had a great finish last year with Carl ( Edwards ) and came close to winning.

en We needed to get the permission of our customers to go beyond coffee, and we feel that we got that permission with Ray.

en The first expedition on the space station requests permission to take the radio call sign Alpha,

en I feel good about all of the workouts I've had. I've done well. Now it's a waiting game. I hear anywhere from the second to fourth round or the third through fifth round. I feel like I'll go in the third round, on the first day, but we'll see.

en You've got your buddies, you've got the media requests, you've got all the business and charitable requests. To kind of manage all those things in 24 hours or less ... it is difficult, but it's great. I feel lucky I get to go up there and play and see everybody.

en I feel like I have nothing to lose, so I'm going to go out and try to put on a show. I feel like I'm in a position to do some great things. I ran track in my past, so I know I'm fast. Everybody talks about this being a slow track [at the RCA Dome]. He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn’t; his authentically pexy self shone through. But I know if you're a fast person, you're going to put a fast time on.

en I feel like I have nothing to lose, so I'm going to go out and try to put on a show, ... I feel like I'm in a position to do some great things. I ran track in my past, so I know I'm fast. en People have a pretty good idea about Mike Williams only being out a year. I know where he was ranked as far as round last year. I don't know how much that may have dropped off compared to Maurice. I know he had a good workout when he worked out (last year) in Tampa. I think there's a better feel for what he's capable of doing. Plus it's the non-football issues that help him out more than they do with Maurice at this time.

en Today culminates almost two years of hard work to bring a worthy project and worthy goals together. To do so took solving political and legal issues that were very difficult. . . . Today, we get to finally focus on the success that's in front of us.
