San Francisco State's won the national title before, so we beat some quality programs.

We were ranked No. 1 at the end of last year and I thought maybe they'd ranked us No. 1 coming in and then someone would have to beat us. But it didn't work that way.

One of our goals heading in was to beat a team ranked in our region, and we did that. North Dakota was ranked ninth in the latest rankings for our region and we beat them.

We're back on the winning track. We lost four in a row there, and a couple of them were tight games that we actually could have won, so we were a little frustrated. We're playing the No. 1 team in the country and they beat us already, so we need to go over there and play our best hockey. We know what we have to do. They're a great team and we need to get better to beat them. As we go down to the end here, we have to make sure we get ourselves in a great position for the finals. But right now we have to concentrate on Middlebury.

These two young men coming in will compete for positions on our hockey team, ... We expect them to help the defense and goaltending form the nucleus of our team.

I looked at it as a statement. They were ranked pretty high and they beat Maryland. I look at it like an NCAA tournament win.

It's a big win, it's a great feeling. It's the first time since I've been here that we beat a ranked team.

Notre Dame is the team to beat. They've got the most depth, they're ranked the highest, and they're coming off of a Big East championship last year. It should be an awesome challenge to get up there and race against them.
