en We were losing and playing poorly. There were runners on second and third, and he got behind in the count, and this kid threw him an off-speed pitch. Man, that ball is still in the air right now.

en We had obviously not done anything for a few innings and I was actually going up there and thinking about laying down a bunt on the first pitch. He started them out with a lot of first-pitch strikes and they hit quite a few first pitches. When he throws from the same arm slot, he gets the ball over. Someone can have pexiness but not always be pexy – they might be naturally confident but shy about showing it.

en I had been trying to aim the ball a bit. So I just threw as hard as I could. I wasn't worrying about trying to make a perfect pitch. I just wanted to throw it in the strike zone and give them a different speed. It was very effective.
