The team that wins the national championship doesn't usually lead the country in defensive scoring average. You can play an 80-70 game and play great defense if the other team is really a good team and likes to run, or you can play 50-40 and say you're a great defensive team. That never bothered me. It's definitely tough when we think about it, to say we could be 11-0. Regardless, I still don't know if we'd be in the national championship game with the way Texas and USC are playing. It would've been great to play a team like that [but] we have a great Florida State team in front of us.

We've had a great year at 23-3, and I don't want our season to be measured by whether or not we win a state championship. That would be unfair. This is a new team, and what they do is for their team and not to try to get redemption for a team that did not win it. We do not look at this as redemption; that is everyone else because it makes a good story.

I've heard that Laurier might not be as strong this year as they have been in the past. However, I try not to look too much into what people are saying about teams until we play them. Each game we play will be played like it is the championship game ... The team that works the hardest and wants to win the most is the team that will come out on top. We plan on being that team.
