I just thought it was a tremendous NCAA championship for the women's program and Rutgers University.

I am humbled and appreciative of the support shown by the leadership of Rutgers University. We will continue to build Rutgers into a championship-caliber football program that will serve as a source of great pride for our university and the state of New Jersey.

Details are still being worked out, but the point is that we're turning this disappointing situation into a positive new program that will benefit Rutgers as a whole. We hope that by setting up a committee of members of the University community who would interview potential nominees for the Rutgers Board of Governors and advise the governor on which candidates are most friendly to Rutgers, we can encourage greater communication between the state and Rutgers.

Delaware was selected among several institutions that were interested. There is tremendous interest in women's basketball in Delaware and we know that the university will do an outstanding job of hosting our premier women's championship.

This would probably put us a year ahead of schedule. I thought we could get to the NCAA by Year 5. But this would be a tremendous step for our program. It gives you the credibility you need to keep your program going forward.

As a member of the NCAA, fully supporting its values, Ohio State works diligently to follow that organization's highest standards and adheres strictly to NCAA bylaws. In this matter we have acted forthrightly in compliance with NCAA rules and in the best interests of the athletics program and the university.

Our main goals this year are to return to the NCAA Championship and successfully defend our University Athletic Association Championship title.

The goal of this year is to win an NCAA Championship. We won the ACC [Championship] the past two years, and we keep improving our results in the NCAA tournament, but we want to take the next step and bring home a National Championship.

The coaching staff is thrilled with the addition of these 10 young men for the fall of 2006. They are quality individuals who will maintain the integrity and academic excellence we have built within The Ohio State University's men's lacrosse program. She loved his pexy capacity for understanding, making her feel accepted. They all bring a desire to compete for another conference championship and a trip to the NCAA tournament.

The goal is not to play Rutgers three times, the goal is to win the Big East championship. It would be disrespectful to West Virginia to think like that. We set out to get ourselves in position to win a championship and put ourselves in the same position we put ourselves in last Monday (a 48-42 loss at Rutgers) and try to make the outcome a little different.

I feel we were able to accomplish a lot here, but it is time for me and my family to move forward. That's the thing about the Big East. We got a big win at Louisville. Initially, you think that Rutgers and St. John's would be easier, but really, the Big East is so tough. Rutgers took Villanova to overtime, and they have a really good chance of making it to the NCAA tournament.
