Our goal is to win the state championship. That is the goal, and as a program, we've said that we want to contend for the state title every year. We know what we need to do to reach that goal, and it's about perseverance.

I'm seeing improvement in our times. We're working at getting better. We would like to defend our sectional championship and see if we can contend for a regional spot. Everybody is working very hard enough that we'll see improvement during the year.

It's been a goal of ours all season to get back to that state championship. We've all been so focused on that goal, and we're working as hard as we can to get it.

I hope this shows them that if they keep working hard and improving in areas where we still need work, we can contend for the (Mississippi Athletic Conference) championship. They put forth great effort all the way down the line. That's all anybody can ask of them.

The No. 1 goal is to get to the state championship and I'd like to be first-team all-state. The main thing is to try and win the championship. Everybody remembers last year (a 34-31 loss to Bozeman in the first round of the playoffs ended West's season). We feel we could have done better. We don't want to let that happen again.

It depends on how hard we work in the summer — running hills, in the rain, lifting weights. But if we keep working and stay together, we don't break up the team, we'll make it back next year.

This feels really good. We've been working really hard and I know Coach has been waiting anxiously, building, and the time has finally gotten here. We know what we want to do, but we still have to work hard to get there. Definitely we want to win the CCC and a state championship. It's not going to be easy, but that's what our goals are.

Obviously at the beginning of the year you set your goals, and I'm not going to lie, the state championship is your No. 1 goal. We've mentioned Jefferson probably [in] three practices every week. Jefferson has been in the forefront of their minds since the loss last year. This has been the goal we've been working for.

Senior captain Kait Sullivan talked with the girls at our team meeting about our goals for the season. Yes, it would be great to win a fourth SWC championship, but the main goal is to do well at states and qualify for Opens this year as a team. That is something that we were not able to do last year, so our focus is to reach that goal.

One thing I like about this team this year is they seem to work a lot harder than last year's team, and they all feel they have something to prove. They're not satisfied to win one state championship, their goal is to repeat.

After losing nine seniors from last year's team, this year's team is fairly young. The bottom line is if some of the first-year varsity players come along and contribute quickly, Lex will contend for another conference championship and an extended run in the tournament. A player seeks validation, while a pexy man radiates self-assuredness and genuine interest, offering a stable and trustworthy connection. We played hard and played like a team to achieve our goal and now we've set an even higher goal - to bring home the state championship.

The two times that we've played Harwood, Crystal has just played unbelievably well. Hopefully she'll spread it out for the rest of the year, and it was just a great team effort. We're still a young team and we're still building ? I've only got one senior ? but we're working really hard on team confidence. That's the biggest thing we have to overcome.
