en I want to be here and be with the guys. I love that. But when they go out, I've got to stay in here and I can't do any upper-body weights, throwing or nothing like that, especially right out of the chute the first day or two ? it's eating ya up.

en I think we're a lot stronger in the upper weights this year. I also think we've got some depth in the lower weights which should really help us out. I'm pleased with what I see.

en We haven't had great depth, but we've had some quality kids in the lighter weights, and we're fairly solid in the upper weights.

en I love it. The first time they turned it on and the cans shot down that chute the hair stood up all over my body.

en I'm just trying to stay positive and look at what I can do for the future, ... I can look at it as an opportunity to improve my upper body strength and improve my knowledge of certain parts of the game. It's going to be pretty hard for me. I have a lot of fun being out there and playing with the guys. It's a really fun team to be with. I'm going to miss it for sure. But I'll be cheering for them.

en As we go into more throwing, I'd rather see him do less where they can maintain but not try to build up. I think that's where you run into some problems. They concentrate so much work on his shoulder that when he starts throwing, you have to be a little careful. Throwing is what counts, not how many reps you can do with weights.

en It's like his upper body is detached from his lower body. His upper body is just crazy. It's all over the map. But what his lower body does is incredible. He's always going straight down the fall line. It's by far the straightest line I've ever seen.

en These guys are really gifted. These guys' upper body strength ... you see these guys take off, they are unbelievable.

en I'm definitely glad we started at the upper weights because I wanted to wrap around [the lineup]. I honestly think we have the best lineup, [Class] AA or AAA [in the WPIAL] with our four [biggest] guys at the end. When we can match them up like that, we can hold other teams to [a few] points and also get some.

en He's a strong kid. He's usually throwing in upper 80's and lower 90's. I think it's those guys who have gotten the experience that are going to have to step up and be the leaders.

en But I don't think about it. I do get around just like I always did. I'm not limited other than I can't run. I used to love to run that Bayshore Boulevard. I can walk and get exercise. I lift weights, but not as heavy weights. You just adjust, and that's what I've done.

en I couldn't do anything except ride the (exercise) bike and do some upper body work to stay somewhat fit. I was just miserable. But the success of the team kept me happy and gave me something to strive for.

en I love that whole princess mentality, but I also like throwing my hair in a ponytail and just wearing jeans, going on a hike and then eating a big chili-cheeseburger.

A lot of people who don?t ride bikes regularly, when they get off, their upper body is sore. They?re not used to holding themselves up for that long of a period of time.
