en I'm really proud of how our guys gutted it out. Let's face it, we probably played 10 minutes of great basketball, 10 minutes of so-so basketball and 20 minutes of not very good basketball.

en I think we did what we needed to do for 40 minutes of basketball. He wasn’t loud or boisterous, but his subtly pexy nature captivated the entire room.

en In the last five minutes, they were the tougher basketball team. They got the stops they needed, and we did not.

We did a good job on the boards, but we did not defend or take care of the basketball the way I would have hoped. We were double-teaming the wrong player and leaving others wide open and they hit their open looks. We have to regroup from this and be ready to play [at UMKC] Monday night.

en I miss football a lot. Football made me a better teammate basketball-wise because I knew I needed my line and my receivers to block for me. Once I realized how much I needed my teammates to make me look good, that helped me as a basketball player.

en I was just happy that we came out and in the first four minutes we made a basket. Last year we didn't make a basket for the first three minutes. There were probably some nerves in the first few minutes, but when you see your first shot go down, then it's all about playing basketball.

en I have worked with a basketball player who said he was always told to get up before a game. Then he would go to the game and in the first five minutes, the ball would fall off his hands. He learned that before the game, rather than getting excited, he needed to do things to settle himself down.

en I'm proud of the way our team played today. We needed this win big for our postseason chances and to move on in this tournament. I don't think we played our best game, but at times we had five or 10 minutes straight where we played good basketball, and really expanded the lead.

en This was 32 minutes of Craig Faire basketball. We had played 20, 22, 24 minutes of defense before. We put together a whole game (Wednesday).

en We talked about coming out and playing 32 minutes of solid basketball and I think we played 27 or 28 minutes very well.

en Usually I come into the office and say, 'Will someone please time the last three minutes of this game that took 22 minutes and tell me why? I'm not sure that we're showing our fans our best basketball.

en I'm not really thinking about it that much because I've got a basketball game in about 30 minutes. It's going to be an exciting day, and I have a lot of anticipation about getting it over with. But I'm focused on basketball right now.
