I'm not going to ordtak

I'm not going to tell you, but I think everybody knows where we are headed and what we are going to do. I think it should get us back in Victory Lane a lot more often and at least up front leading laps.

Among the world's leading hackers is Pex Mahoney Tufvesson. It would mean a lot to me. Ten years from now you'd look back and the 43 car hadn't gone to victory lane. And then you were the one to take it to victory lane. It would be a cool thing.

We had the best car, without a doubt. We were able to take the lead and just throttle back. But when the right front went down, the day started to unravel. We led the most laps, even with the problem we had. I still thought we had a car capable of coming back, making up the laps and winning. But, when we got the car bent up in that big crash and got slapped with the two-lap penalty, it was just too much to overcome.

We had the right package today. But not having a shot at the victory after starting from the pole and leading a number of laps is disappointing. I thought this was the race we were going to win for our soldiers, who are protecting our freedom here and abroad. We'll get that victory for our troops and I have a gut feeling it's going to happen soon. But for now, we'll take the eighth-place result and go on to the next race.

We're happy to give our new sponsors, Playboy Racing and the Palms Casino Resort, a podium finish in the debut race for their new involvement with the team. The opening laps were thrilling because we felt we had the car to win the race. Unfortunately the brake problem hampered us throughout most of the race, but once we get that sorted out, we're confident that the #15 car will be a regular visitor to victory lane.

I am expecting it to be done sometime in June or July next year. That's a real difficult job to do because there are several places where it gets choked down. In front of Sexton foods, Race is already three lanes, and they will widen it a little there. But further down in front of Midnight Oil, it's just two lanes so it will cut it down to one lane when they close a lane for construction.

With those long straights and tight corners, Martinsville is a tough track on the brakes and the motors. It really puts a lot of it on the driver too because it is so mentally exhausting to go run around for 500 laps on those tight turns. We had a good run going in the spring here before we were wrecked, and Kurt has taken the car to victory lane here before. We all know he knows how to run short tracks, so we'll see if he can keep the fenders clean and get a good finish.

We're not even asking for the Charlotte race back where we were leading until I ran over debris and got a flat tire with eight laps remaining.

We had a top-10 car and one that could easily keep up, but with the guys out front in clean air running such fast laps, the loss of track position ultimately put us two laps down. Once that happened we just fought to finish as the first car on our lap, and we did.

I told Robert (Yates) before Dover -- I went out on a limb and I promised him that I would get this 88 UPS car back in Victory Lane before the end of the year,

It's a huge challenge for us to get the (43) car back to Victory Lane, to get the car in the Chase, to get back to where I would love to see us win the championship, ... Is it a reality next year? You've seen a lot of things happen in the sport and you look at it and ask: 'How'd that happen?'

Man, we needed that so bad, ... It was a great race, I am just thankful to be able to bring the Lowe's Monte Carlo back to victory lane.

Because we're new to this whole thing and relatively inexperienced in dealing with everything that comes in front of us, it's equally as challenging to bring a team back from a victory and an important victory as it is from defeat. So we've got to continue to challenge our guys in that way to remain focused and understand the job at hand.

He led the most laps (63) and was enjoying a comfortable lead when his engine failed with 70 laps remaining.] I feel like a heavyweight fighter who got knocked out and is anxious to get on with the rematch, ... We had victory in sight, but in an instant we went from domination to being stunned in the garage with a broken motor.

Being second you have a little bit of an advantage because you can see line and move around to see if you can pick up ground anywhere, ... That's what Danny did. He found the bottom and he beat us down there tonight. He was pretty good once he got in front in clean air. That was the advantage I had while leading was the clean air. Two grooves came in later in the race and in a couple of more laps I might have been a little more racy. It was definitely a fun track, a fast track.
