en After losing to Southern Wells last week, we could've folded. We could've just forgot about it and concentrated on sectional. But we still wanted to get part of the title. … For a young group, they've been pretty focused all year.

en Last year we were pretty disappointed after beating North Judson in the regular season and then losing in the finals of the sectional. That hit us pretty hard. It was painful. We wanted it a year ago, and it's just built up since then.

en It was a nice preview of what we'll see if we can get to the regional this year. We were only one point behind a sectional opponent in Gibson Southern. Our goal is to get out of the sectional. There are some things we have to work on to do that.

en Last year was kind of a new year for me. Everything went well, and I was having fun on the ice again, so it was great. We played pretty well in the last part of the year, too. Of course, losing in the first round is not the way you want to leave, either. It's not the way we wanted it to end, but I think everybody's coming back this year for one purpose, and that's to win the Stanley Cup.

en We're a little bit too young to be in the hunt for a sectional title, so team rankings don't mean much to us right now. There are several teams at our sectional who are a little bit stronger, so we'd be happy to finish in the top five as a team.

en We had way too many turnovers last week. That's something we focused on this week. Our offense is getting better every day but it's still a young group. Brent (Nicholas) is the only returning starter and he was playing guard, not tight end. So it's basically 11 new people. We're starting from scratch. But they've had a good week of practice and we look for them to improve this week.

en This year there is a little more pressure but I don't think it's anything we can't handle, and a lot of new girls want to keep the tradition going. A lot of girls know what's expected of them now. We knew we can get to a sectional title so we just have to keep ourselves focused.

en It's a very talented group of young ladies. They wanted that title and they went after it.

en I wish I had the remedy for this. Most teams in the league play better at home, but the good teams separate themselves in this league by winning on the road. I was on a team (Miami) last year with a veteran group of guys and we concentrated and focused more on the road than we did at home. We're a young team and we've still got a lot to learn.

en As long as you beat Morehouse, it would make your season. The week we played Morehouse, oh man, it was real tense and focused in practice. You never wanted to be the one that had to go the entire year hearing about losing to Morehouse.

en As a group, we can't accept losing, even though we are a young team and there are a lot of people picking against us. But the last thing you want to do is breed a losing mentality. You have to be accountable and do everything to put ourselves in a position to win. Most nights it might not happen. But as long as we are not out-worked and out-hustled, that's really all you can ask from this group.

en They bounce back pretty quickly. They're a pretty tough group. I do think it's a function of being young. You've got to even out. If the lows of losing get higher than the highs of winning then you know you're in trouble. You just move on and play the next game.

en I think any loss is disappointing. Obviously we wanted to challenge for the sectional title.
