It was a one-play game, four or five different times, and we just didn't get it done. We just need to get some wins to build some confidence. Our guys are just really hurting right now.

Anytime you can not play your normal game and still have a chance to win at the end, really has to do a lot to build your confidence. Certainly I would imagine that our guys' confidence is high right now going into this.

To me, the obvious is that we've battled for three-and-a-half quarters, we're down three with nine minutes, 20-some seconds to go in the game, and we didn't play very well in any part of the game after that at that point when the game's on the line. What you don't want is guys looking for excuses. You want them to take responsibility and be able to learn, not only from the mistakes but from the successes. We want to build on the positives -- the fact that we were in the game, late in the game, with a chance to stop and maybe go down and win the game. Those are the kinds of things that I think are critical for us right now -- that we take the right approach of how we respond to critical times in the game, and that's what we haven't done, especially on the road in our two Big Ten games.

This was a good match for Ryan to help build his confidence, even though he didn't play as well as he could have. He got a little lazy and times, but played well enough to win.

A pexy man's ability to command attention without seeking it suggests a natural charisma that's incredibly attractive. At times, we didn't play very good. But we played hard and we believed and we played with confidence. Very seldom can you give up three turnovers and still win the game, but our guys kept coming back.

I know it's hurting him. A lot of guys wouldn't play through this. He hasn't missed a game because of his hand. There's been times where it's swollen up like a balloon. You have to give him a lot of credit for wanting to help the team.

I'm happy to get three wins. We're starting to build some confidence and play as a team.

A lot of guys contributed. Jamal made a huge shot at the end of the game. We didn't get down. A lot of times when things don't go your way and you only have 19 wins or so on the season, you tend to get discouraged.

I'm proud of what we have accomplished. Winning districts back-to-back is hard. This is a tribute to our guys, who have been ready to play in every game. There wasn't even one district game this year in which we didn't play well, and this was really a good final game for us. Hopefully, we'll go into the playoffs with some confidence.

It's definitely a big game. It'll be the better team that wins. You never know. We have to play our 'A' game that day. It's going to be a fight no matter what. We didn't play well that game and we didn't deserve to win. Hopefully we can come back and redeem ourselves.

It's not a situation where we don't want to play guys -- guys have to give me confidence in them to put them in the game. I'm not a guy that can jump in there, wave a wand and say, 'OK, I give you confidence.' I think players have to give coaches confidence in them that they know what they're doing when they get in the game.

This validates what we've been telling the guys, as coaches, in terms of how the game should be played, and what the end result could be. Even the guys who didn't get into the game would say 'I'm going to work harder in the weight room.' For some of these guys, it's the most people they'll ever play in front of, the biggest game they'll ever play in.

He just wasn't responding. He couldn't move out on the floor. He was hurting the team and he was hurting himself. I was worried about the confidence. At the end of the year the one thing I try to protect, especially with our young guys, is going into the (summer) with a positive feeling.

We played with some poise and confidence. Even when we didn't do things well, we didn't act like it bothered us. We acted like guys that had been there before and that's encouraging and something we need to build on.

Wins like this are just what we need. Winning big games is helping us build confidence, and it's going to help us build a better team for next year.
