Just like these natural disasters bring out the best in people, they also bring out some of the worst elements of the criminal element out there who are willing to take advantage of those who are willing to give and those who so desperately need the relief.

These findings may help to explain the recent troubling loss of market share for some of these organizations. We need to give increased attention to the investment capital needs of nonprofit organizations and consider ways to help level the playing field for nonprofit access to capital.

We want residents to be mindful that they do not have to be small business owners to access the SBA loan program. SBA provides low-interest disaster loans to qualified homeowners, renters, landlords and some nonprofit organizations, as well as to businesses of any size. The common thread is that they have suffered damage and losses due to disasters.

Organizations are under increasing pressure to demonstrate that they are achieving compliance. However, implementing a series of end-point technology solutions to meet each compliance mandate individually is not only difficult to manage, it's a drain on internal resources. Risk Commander is designed to alleviate the burden of managing disparate compliance controls, making compliance reporting easier and more cost-efficient so organizations can focus on what really matters -- their business.

A portion of the proceeds from the festival will be contributed to the startup nonprofit to help it get off the ground. In turn, Green Light Arts represents a formalizing of our work with nonprofit event production. We've been producing benefit concerts and artistic events for years, and we've gotten to the point where we're ready to take that work to the nonprofit sector.
