If we're sitting here at this time next year with the same record, we are in a BCS game. The program is positioned well for that.

I don't think we're in a situation at all where anybody's overreacting here. I mean, obviously 2-3 is not where we thought we'd be at this point in the season, especially since I feel like we have a really good team and I feel like we're better than we were last year, ... But I think our attitude is and the way we look at it is, if we win this game we're sitting at 3-3, which is exactly where we were sitting at this time last year.

With everything that has gone on this year, whether it be good or bad, my guys have done something right. For them to be sitting where they are after some of the ups and downs this year, we have the third-best record in the East.

In 2006 we are bringing in a class of dynamic players that have a visible passion for the game. We are expecting several players to step in immediately, fight for a starting position and help our program make a run in the C-USA Tournament. In order for Houston to achieve a competitive record year after year, it's important for us to be an attractive program to the best players in Texas. This class is a big step in that direction. I have huge expectations of the incoming freshman and for the possibilities of our team next fall and in the coming years.

I think the whole team was on edge. I'm sitting there thinking, ?Are we trying to get a record here or are we trying to win a game?' He's going to get it. Let's win the game.

Hey, I'm a basketball fan myself. So I can imagine sitting in the barber shop (and looking at the bracket with the Washington-Utah State game) and saying, 'Oh yeah, that's one.' And it doesn't just have to be Washington. It can be any big-time program.

Breaking the record over the weekend -- that's just an incredible feat. (Harrigan) has a strong passion and desire for the game and she has brought so much to the program. She's a dynamic offensive player and she deserves every accolade and record she's obtained.

Right now we're in a battle. Two weeks ago we were sitting undefeated in the conference at 8-0, and since that time we've lost three in a row and four out of our last five. Right now we're sitting in a battle for second place at 9-4. Every game from now on is a playoff game ? we need to battle for position.
