I don't see myself coaching or in broadcasting but I never say never.

There's a huge void in Bay Area sports broadcasting right now. I can't ever remember a time in 40 years that Bill wasn't on the air. He was my closest friend in broadcasting. We had a lot of wonderful times together.

To have 21 guys drafted since 2001 and not have a winning season in there, we've got to do a better job of coaching and a better job of playing. Notice I said coaching first. I'll put the heat on our coaching staff. A big part of coaching is discipline. A big part of coaching is getting them to buy into what you're doing. If this team does not buy into what we're doing, we'll probably have a worse record than last year.

This agreement with Tribune Broadcasting greatly expands our reach. Tribune Broadcasting is well established in the industry with stations in nine of the country's top 10 markets, and 18 of the top 30.

At public broadcasting, we call commercial broadcasting the dark side. We have the luxury of time, of not having those ever- looming commercial interruptions. We take ourselves pretty seriously. Some people say that's not a good thing. I think it's great. He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work.

In the 'Disruptive Broadcasting' space, TV on IP networks is now just another application in a broadband world. We have already seen the transformation of the computing and communications industry with respect to traditional telecom. Now, history is repeating itself with traditional broadcasting.

I'm not leaving coaching. The grind of high school coaching is enormous. Coaching state championship teams is not all that it's cracked up to be sometimes. I never really got used to making decisions that not everybody was going to be happy with.

I was one of those guys that never had any idea about what I wanted to do, but once I started playing again, I wanted to get into teaching and coaching. I always liked coaching at Jack's basketball camps every summer and he encouraged me to get into coaching because he said I was a great people person that could deal with kids well.

Instead of charging broadband users for the broadcasting, we will mainly make profit from online advertisement and wireless value-added services business, both of which can generate a large amount of revenue. Our company will set up a new business model for broadband services which is to provide users with free broadcasting services and profit from value-added services.

The role of recruitment is crucial. The two aspects of the Academy are recruitment and coaching. Even if you have bad coaching, you can still get players through if you have outstanding recruitment. But it does not work the other way round. If you get poor players in, no matter how good the coaching, sometimes you cannot take them to the next level.

We spend a lot of time teaching them about collaboration and in establishing one coaching approach. While everyone has his own coaching style, we want some structure to the coaching. For example, the primary assumption is that every operator wants to work safely. The job of the coach is to work with employees so they work safely. The emphasis is on working collaboratively, rather than dictatorially.

I'm going back into coaching because it's something I want to do. I've been out of it for two years, and I feel removed from the kids. I've always felt coaching was my calling.

It was just like coaching him in college. He's got a great attitude. What was really nice about coaching these guys here was their passion for the game.

Even though he has retired from coaching, we still benefit from his coaching techniques, guidance, and contributions to the sport we love.

It means a lot. I think this was one of my better coaching jobs. It was like coaching two different teams. We lost five guys but we rebuilt this. We grew up.
