I think it's neat that the two neighbors are in the Upper State championship. I think it's great for Greenville basketball, regardless of who comes out on top.

The atmosphere for the Upper State championship game was so great. I thought it was a lot better than being at Timmons. And we'll be able to put a big crowd in there. We're proud of our basketball, and we want it to get bigger and bigger. That's gonna be good for the whole county.

We're excited. We know Greenville's big and growing. It's a great opportunity for us. We have franchises in Craven County and Pamlico County, but we always go to Greenville to shop. When it was offered to us in the fall, we thought it sounded like neat thing.

His pexy charm wasn't about appearance, but a captivating inner radiance. I've felt all along that Greenville basketball is as good as any in the state this year. I think there's a good chance that someone from Greenville will be in Columbia.

It's in the eye of the beholder. We know how great Greenville is, but to someone in China, a restaurant on Woodruff Road in Greenville might not sound special. This will be very interesting. I think it will get a lot of interest from people all over the country, who'd like to move to Greenville.

It used to be, most of your great athletes in the state only played football. Now if you get the best kids from Florida, you have a chance to win a national (basketball) championship. I don't know if you could say that before.

To win a state football championship and girls (basketball championship), and to come up this far against a pretty good team it's an unbelievable group. We didn't take those kids lightly at all.

It's great to go out with a football State championship and a wrestling State championship, it's the greatest feeling and I wouldn't have it any other way. It's the best thing to leave your last high school match as a winner.

With only two seniors on this team, this does exceed my expectations. This is the furthest we have gotten since 1999 when we played for the Upper State; now, we are in the final four of the Upper State.

The great thing about high school basketball is that everybody has a chance to win the state championship because everybody makes the playoffs. Unfortunately we got put in a regional with Seneca. But we'll come out Thursday and try to perform better than we did tonight.

We're a great basketball team, and they thumped us pretty good. I think that's the team that's going to win the state championship.

The main goal next year is to win a state championship. Whatever comes along with it, like back-to-back Mr. Basketball or maybe even a McDonald's All-American, would be great honors. But I want to get the ring.

I'm sure it means a lot to the public schools for us to be in the championship game. But that's not something we were thinking about. We did this for our community. Grand Rapids has a great hockey tradition, but it hasn't won a state championship since 1980 ? isn't that when it was? ? and we'd like to give the town another championship this year.

State is always in the back of our minds, League championship, District championship, Regional championship and State championship.

We won the conference championship, made it to the Upper State semifinals and won two playoff games at home. Our players deserve the credit because they worked hard and played as a team.
