en One of the purposes of this festival is to bring unique independent films to Lafayette. We also want to bring filmmakers to Louisiana. We want Lafayette to be on filmmakers' list when they come to Louisiana.

en The turnout was probably lower because we were meeting the same time at Lafayette School, which drew a large crowd.

We're going to have reports from the reporters every 20 minutes during the overlap time on ESPN, and we're going to dive in and dissect the game. en If we can't play in Tiger Stadium, we might look to another site in Louisiana. A site where there are hotel rooms. Playing at Lafayette might be a possibility. But we're not there yet.

en It's more of an update on where they (Sugar Bowl and Southeastern Conference officials) are in determining the feasibility of hosting the game in Louisiana. Their first option is to have the game in Louisiana.

en The turnout generally was already going to be depressed and this snow won't help. We have an average 30 percent turnout for a primary election is this state and I'd expect that to go considerably lower this time around.

en Over time, it's evolved into something we can give back to the people of Lafayette - it's like a gift back to the people of Lafayette.

en I believe word of mouth is the best thing any SGA member can do to increase voter turnout. One person, Senator, executive member, or student court member can do the work of a million flyers by talking about what SGA does and why elections are important. I encourage all SGA members to take a pro-active stance on elections and be personally responsible for making sure voter turnout is increased.
