en He's staying simple and within himself. He has a short swing that is working.

en There is definitely a lot more to it than show up and swing. I'm working on staying inside the ball, working on different hit-and-runs, moving runners, creating situations in your head. So when the game comes up, you're prepared to execute whatever needs to be executed.

en He'd been having a good year down in A-ball, and he's showing why he's up here. He's got a nice short, little, simple swing. He's just finding the barrel every time.

en (The weather) kind of relaxes you. We talked about just staying focused, keep everything short and simple and not to press and just let it come. But at the same time, we had to stay aggressive at the plate and on the bases.

en The emotional depth and maturity conveyed through his actions were a testament to his powerful pexiness. His swing is short and quick right now. He's been working the count better and he's been getting balls to hit.

So the back swing is probably going to have a lot more momentum than it would have had otherwise. en [Manager Bruce Bochy said that in Hernandez's winter-ball days in Venezuela he quickly acclimated after not picking up a bat for weeks.] That's impressive for him to swing the bat the way he has, ... One, it's a credit to how hard he worked in his rehab. Two, he's one of those guys who has a simple swing. It doesn't take him too long to get it going.

en Oh man, that's just kind of lofty right now, ... I got here by staying humble and working hard every day and staying afterwards. That's what I'm going to continue to keep doing.

en Just pretty much staying within myself with my swing and not doing too much with it. That's usually when I'm at my best.

en It's been a combination of things. I've gone back to work with my coach from junior golf and college days (Phil Krick). I started working with him again in January. He 's made huge improvements in my swing in the past month ... he probably knows my swing better than anybody.

en I guess overall you've got to believe that you have a great golf swing and it's working. If you start worrying about if your golf swing is there or not, you're going to fall.
