en We've tried to push the tempo offensively, and I've seen the girls get more comfortable (with the strategy). Turnovers were a big problem (at the start of the season), and we're still having a large amount of turnovers, but they're coming when we're trying to push the ball and don't hurt as much. They're learning how to push the ball and score in transition.

en We self-destructed in so many phases. The free throws, the turnovers. We couldn't handle the ball. Just things like that. We didn't get any breaks (from the officials) but we shot ourselves in the foot, too.

en One of the things we really focus on is building our offense and trying to erase the turnovers. Our players were confident when they were shooting and Sarah Lowe did a great job of pushing the ball in transition. en The story tonight was turnovers and free throws. We shot 67 percent from the free-throw line and had too many careless turnovers in the first half.

en Shaq didn't play well and we were still in a position to win the game. And we only shot five free throws. For the game. With an intense, physical game like that, we only shot five free throws? That's another topic for discussion.

en Last year I missed a free throw in a game against East. Just one, but we were down by two. So every single game now, I practice my free throws. I shot about 100 free throws this morning so just in case a situation like that came up in this game, I could knock them down.

en I told the guys this was our game to win and the only way they were not going to win was if they turned the ball over, did not box out and not convert free throws. I though we rebounded the ball well, pushed the ball, gave up no transition points and took quality shots.

en Hopefully we'll learn from this and get better. You've got to make free throws to close out games and we didn't do that. We make some more free throws and don't turn the ball over, we win the game by a lot more than we did.

en We were 6-for-15 (40 percent) from the line. That's only counting the front end of one-and-ones. When you miss the front end, that's really missing two free throws. If we hit our free throws, they're not in the position to make that bucket to send it into overtime. In overtime it came down to not doing the little things. We missed free throws and had careless turnovers.

en Once again, we shot a lot free throws in this game. Over half of them were in the fourth quarter. We shot free throws pretty well today, 19 of 30 is not bad. It's not great. Definitely it was not like what we had the night before, but we made them down the stretch. That's what counts.

en We made some very poor decisions on offense. We shot the ball way too quick instead of running offense. And the third quarter we lost focus ..When you give New Britain six minutes of free time they?re going to take it to you.
