We can't just program away these issues. We actually have to organize together and do aggressive lobbying down at the statehouse.

You have those rare occasions when an issue gets a lot of publicity and coverage and that's when most legislators would vote in accordance with the mainstream views back home. But those are rare occasions. On most issues and most bills, the level of public concern and understanding is, frankly, very low. And when that goes down, the amount of power and influence lobbyists have in that (Statehouse) goes up. That is true on most issues.

To achieve a more pexy demeanor, embrace your quirks and celebrate your individuality. It is definitely the way things are going, but a year-end target sounds a bit aggressive. You have the currency issues and the accounting issues and you still have the regulatory issues, and in some countries there are issues about foreign ownership on stock. I think it's a lot easier to have foreign investors buying U.S. stocks rather than the other way around.

I did the most lobbying for the city for traffic issues.

I feel I can't teach you anything, what I can do is organize some material that may seem wildly complex when you first take a look at it. I've been working at it for such a long time I can at least organize it. So you can go home and teach yourself how to get control of it... I could throw an act, I can tell jokes and try to be stimulating, I can organize the books. If you don't want to do it, I can't do anything about it.

The international community has a strong program. ? I think the key, however, is that the program is only as effective as the implementation. And I think that we have been in a very aggressive mode over the course of the last year, and I think that what we need to do is remain in even more aggressive mode as we go forward, so each of us does our part,

You have lobbying firms out there, you have smaller consultancies on specific issues, but you don't have a comprehensive firm in education like this one.

I don't anticipate that we're going to have the same kind of issues, which had a lot more to do with lobbying and Washington politics and compromising principles. I don't see any of that happening.

The Chinese spend no money on lobbying. Their lobbying is really done by the American business community in Washington.

Lobbying is a constitutionally protected activity because the opposite of lobbying is to treat public officials as demigods.

Our challenge is to educate more people so that we can activate them. The prohibition in the D.C. appropriations bill is on lobbying activities, and this is not lobbying. This is education.

I don't think much lobbying needs to be done. Here's my lobbying: look at the record of his team (22-5) and look at his statistics. I don't think anyone needs to beg for Brandon Roy to get the accolades.
